Crystal Venegas, MS, AMFT

Crystal Vengas was born and raised in beautiful Southern California and takes pride in being part of such a diverse and inclusive community. She is the child of immigrant parents and is also a first-generation college student. Although she has accomplished her goal of becoming a therapist, the journey has not been easy. Being a first-generation student has come with its own challenges and adversities, which contribute to the experience she brings to her clients. Crystal Venegas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of La Verne.

Life can be challenging at times, which is why she values her work in helping clients navigate these difficulties and achieve emotional balance. Since November 2022, she has been in private practice as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and has appreciated every client she has met. She enjoys assisting those who struggle with depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, and LGBTQ+ issues. She takes a unique approach with each client, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to empower them in facing life’s challenges. She acknowledges the difficulties clients face and emphasizes the importance of using healthy and effective coping strategies.

The most rewarding aspect of her work is helping clients reach a point where they feel they no longer need her support. She believes that every journey is unique, and she ensures to meet clients where they are in their personal growth. Additionally, she also supports clients in Español.

“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible.’”
